World Squash Day – Saturday 11th October

Hi all

We have only just discovered that World Squash Day 2025 is taking place next Saturday 11th October , so we have hastily put together a simple plan to make sure Lichfield Squash Club is part of the celebrations!

We have always tried to support this global event, which unites clubs and players around the world in promoting the game we all love. This year’s theme is “Bring a Friend”, encouraging every player to introduce someone new to squash.

Here’s what we are doing:

Junior Session – 11.00am
After our regular Junior Academy (10–11am), we will be inviting juniors to bring a friend for some fun games and challenges on court. Equipment provided, no experience needed.

Adult Session – 12.00pm
From 12.00 to 1.00pm, adult members can also bring a friend along for a relaxed, friendly hit. Again, no charge and all equipment supplied.

Both sessions will be completely free of charge , and open to anyone who would like to give squash a go, even if they don’t know a current member.

Everyone taking part will receive a World Squash Day participation certificate – a small memento of the day and a great photo opportunity!

Squash is one of the best sports for fitness, fun and friendship, so let’s share that with as many people as possible.

Saturday 11th October – 11am–1pm at our courts in King Edward VI School Sports Centre
