Thank you for making Lichfield Squash Festival 2026 such a success

Hi everyone,

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Lichfield Squash Festival 2026 such a successful day.

From the busy Try Squash & Open Courts sessions in the morning through to the junior and adult finals in the afternoon, it was a fantastic showcase for the club and for squash more generally.

Congratulations to all of our finalists, and especially to this year’s champions:

Junior Champion — Mavis Moy
C Grade Champion — Dean Middleton
B Grade Champion — Andy Trueman
A Grade Champion — Vincent Cheng

All finalists also received MyCourts credit, with £20 for the winners and £10 for the runners-up, alongside the trophies, medals and certificates.

A big thank you as well to everyone who played, coached, marked, volunteered, helped behind the scenes or came along to support the event. We were delighted to welcome Catharine Forster, Headteacher at King Edward VI School, and Jonathan Oates, Lichfield Guru and Community Champion, to help with the trophy presentations, and it was great to see such a positive atmosphere around the courts throughout the day.

Our follow-up with those who attended the Try Squash sessions is now underway, with details of club nights, coaching, junior opportunities and other ways to keep playing.

We are also working on a Festival highlights video, which we’ll share once it’s ready.

Thanks again for helping make LSF 2026 such a memorable day for the club.

Best wishes

James
