Lichfield Squash Club News - January 2024

Hi all

Just a quick newsletter to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2024 and highlight a few things ...

1. Memberships

We've seen a few new memberships in the last couple of weeks so welcome to those new to the Club. Any queries about how things work, please just contact me by email or WhatsApp.

2. Court availability and bookings

Just to remind you that the courts remain closed this week and will reopen on Monday 8th January.

When booking, please don't forget to name your opponent or add 'Guest' if you are bringing a non-member to play or 'Solo' if doing solo practice. Please also sign in on the sheets at reception, entering the names of all playing, including guests.

3. Leagues

The current Leagues run until 31st January so please try and spread your remaining games evenly across the rest of the month to avoid court availability pinch points at the end of the month.

4. Club Open Evening

We're holding a free to attend Club Open Evening on Tuesday 23rd January from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. This is designed to attract new players and members and a 1 hour intro to squash session will be available on one of the courts from 7.00pm. The other court will be available for mix in play, with both courts available for this purpose from 8.00pm.

Please encourage anyone in your networks to come and try squash at this event. New members, especially beginners, are also encouraged to attend the intro to squash session.
