Lichfield Squash Club Events: International Women's Day and Squash Start Course

Hi all

Apologies for the lack of newsletter so far this month but we have been busy, particularly getting our Junior Squash Academy back up and running. A successful resumption of sessions took place just yesterday.

In advance of the next newsletter, I thought I would highlight 2 important events we have coming up:

1. International Women's Day Open Evening - Wednesday 6th March 2024

We have been pleased to welcome over 15 new women members during the past year, partly due to the success of the event we held for International Women's Day last year. It has been great to see the impact this has had on the Club in terms of being a more inclusive and welcoming place.

We are therefore repeating this event to celebrate International Women's Day, on Wednesday 6th March 2024, 7.00pm - 8.50pm, so please encourage the women and girls in your life and networks to attend. It is free of charge to attend and includes an introduction to squash session.

2. SQUASH START Course for Beginners, Improvers and Returners

Next month sees the return of adult coaching courses, with the next SQUASH START course now set to start on Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 7.00pm.

This will consist of 4 weekly 1 hour sessions led by our England Squash qualified coaches and will teach all the main squash fundamentals (grip, swing, shots, movement and tactics).

Please sign up if you are interested and/or encourage any family or friends who might be interested in taking up squash. There are just 8 spaces available on this course though so please do not delay.
