Save the Date: Lichfield Squash Festival

Saturday 26th September 2026

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Lichfield Squash Festival will return on Saturday 26th September.

The day is expected to include opportunities for newcomers to try squash, the finals of our Club Closed Championships - which will again include graded adult and junior squash competitions - and a range of additional activities and challenges.

Qualifying rounds will take place during the weeks leading up to the festival, with further details about entries and the format to follow.

For now, please put Saturday 26th September in your diary. We would like as many members, families and supporters as possible to join us and help make it another enjoyable celebration of squash in Lichfield.

Women’s Squash Week

Thursday 17 September 2026

We will also be supporting Women’s Squash Week with a dedicated event on Thursday 17 September, 7.00pm start.

The session will be aimed particularly at women and girls who are completely new to squash, returning after a break or simply interested in giving the sport a try in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We hope our existing female members will get involved, help us spread the word and encourage friends, relatives and colleagues to come along. Full details, including the booking arrangements, will follow shortly.

More Plans for the Autumn

We are also planning the return of our junior and after-school programmes, new opportunities for junior and adult beginners, continued development of club nights and team squash, and involvement in wider Staffordshire activities. We also hope to make further progress towards the refurbishment and improvement of the courts and surrounding facilities.

Help Us Showcase the Club

We would like to make greater use of video to showcase everything happening at Lichfield Squash Club, including matches, coaching, junior sessions, club nights and social squash.

Alongside videos produced by the club, we would love members to contribute their own short phone clips. These might capture a great rally, a practice routine, a squash challenge, a coaching tip or simply why you enjoy playing the game.

Please make sure everyone featured is happy to be filmed. We will provide more information soon about how content can be submitted.
